Going back

Most of us who decide to go back to work do so with mixed feelings. While part of us may be looking forward to the benefits of being back at work, generally we approach the return to life in the ‘outside world’ with fear and anxiety. We worry about how our children will cope without us and how our absence will affect them. We worry about whether they are happy with the childcare we have chosen for them, and about missing all of those ‘first moments’.

Making it easier

Nobody said it would be easy and very few of us go back to work expecting it to be so. But for many of us being a professional mum is much harder, more stressful and more exhausting than it needs to be. While leaving your children is never easy, with the right kind of support, going back to work can be a positive happy fulfilling experience for you and your family.

How Coaching can help

One way of achieving this is with the support of a Coach. Coaching is an excellent way of preparing yourself for a new challenge. It is a powerful tool for shaping your future the way you want it. As your Coach I will encourage you to create a picture of how you want your working life to be. Then we’ll work together to make this picture your reality. With my support you will be able to:

  • make the right childcare choice;
  • negotiate the terms on which you will return to work;
  • cope with the unexpected; and
  • meet the challenges that lie ahead (e.g. getting out of the office on time, dealing with a difficult boss or unsupportive colleagues).
